Trillium Health Partners Comprehensive Stroke Unit (CSU) is a 52 bed unit comprised of 32 acute and 20 rehabilitation beds. The experience on the stroke unit is seamless. When a patient is admitted on the CSU he/she will receive stroke care from the acute phase of recovery through rehabilitation within the same bed and with the same experienced inter-professional stroke team.
The purpose of the Stroke Prevention Clinic is to provide early access to neurological assessment, diagnostic testing, and medical/interventional treatment for patients who have been identified at high risk for stroke. The ultimate goal of stroke prevention is to reduce the incidence of stroke and enhancing awareness and education on the warning signs of stroke and risk factor management.
